Cicle Classic National Junior RR

The First edition of the Junior Cicle Classic at Oakham near Melton Mowbray was held on a day of indifferent weather. All the top Juniors were in attendance and Harry, Gwyn and Sean took the line for teamwallis. The race was attacking from the start, and Harry went in one of the big moves. This stayed away, and looked for a while like being the winning move, then the chase started. In the end the race came down to a bunch gallop, but James Shaw jumped off at the end to take the win. Gwyn and Sean made an excellent 8th and 9th in the sprint, and I finally got a Melton Mowbray Pie, good weekend!

Frank Morgan RR

Frank Morgan Memorial RR

Former Rider Lewis Balyckyi won the race in 2010, and this was my first year racing it so didn't know what to expect. With over 80 riders on the start list and racing through an industrial estate in Liverpool with potholes and road obstacles everywhere I knew it was going to be a sketchy one and one for a breakaway. Castle Coombe Easter GP

Castle Combe Easter Classic E/1/2

With a huge pre entry of over 100 riders and the sun out, the racing down in Wiltshire was always going to be interesting for Teamwallis riders Leon Gledhill and Gwyn Lovibond. The sun was shining, but as the wind picked up over the day, by the time it was the E/1/2 race at 3 o clock there was a nasty headwind up the back straight and cross winds meaning sheltering from the wind would be vital. John's Double weekend part 2!

Win at Salt Ayre

The following day round Saighton a break went on the first and lap managed to achieve a lead of 35 seconds. Some people were keen to keep the break in check, so I followed the wheels to make sure too many others didn’t get up the road and as my legs weren’t feeling great to get across by myself, possible after the previous day’s efforts. With just under 4 laps to go and the gap to the break down to 10 seconds a major crash resulted in 15-20 riders going down and many other getting stuck it. Read more ...

John's Double weekend!

Win at Salt Ayre

Last weekend I competed in Round 2 of the Lancaster University Cycling Club circuit races at Salt Ayre on the Saturday and CDNW Saighton on the Sunday. After a decent first outing round Salt Ayre the weekend before, I was looking forward to racing again. With Myself, Chris, Jake and Jordan all riding in the event for TeamWallis we knew we had the numbers to try and get a result. After none of the early moves stuck, at around the halfway mark I clipped away with a few others and with everyone in the break committing there was a good chance it would stay away. Read more ...

A Great week for Wallis

Alex winning at Stockport

A great week, or just over started at the Rhyl Circuit race, where team legend Steve 'Pumpy' Abbott showed the riders a clean pair of heels in a fast and flowing race at the closed Circuit in Wales.

Then at Stockton Circuit race, where young Alex Hopper lined up with some more experienced competitors, such and Tim Lawson from Wheelbase for a hard Crit race. He took the initative and went on a solo breakaway, managing to lap the field! Not content with this feat, he then won the Support race to the Premier Calendar on the Sunday from a solo move!
