Congratulations to Ella Sadler-Andrews and Sarah Reynolds for their selection to the six-rider GB women's junior squad for the European Championships this week, and best of luck in their events.
Ella rides in the Time Trial on Thursday (2nd July) and both she and Sarah will contest the road race on Sunday.
Many congratulations to teamwallis-CHH rider Tom Moses on passing 200 points and achieving his 1st category race licence, the top level to which a junior can get.
Overall, teamwallis-CHH remain the top-ranked club in the North-West regional rankings and 32nd in the national rankings.
Andy Coupe secured a fantastic win for teamwallis-CHH at the National B race at Lazonby today, with the hilly course favouring his style and rewarding his attacking approach. In the race for Elite and 1st and 2nd category riders, Andy won the sprint in a select bunch of seven riders who had a lead of over a minute on the remainder of the field at the finish. Read more ...
teamwallis-CHH rider Theresa Taylor is taking part in one of the toughest tests around, a 24 hour time-trial, from 1pm Saturday 25th July to 1pm Sunday 26th July, on a course near Whitchurch.
She could really do with some helpers, to pass up bottles and food and generally offer support. You wouldn't have to be there for the whole event, work out a rota.
Please contact Theresa directly or post a comment here if you can help out (sorry Theresa, I'm away that weekend!).
The past couple of weeks have proved a busy time for both Sarah Reynolds and I. The weekend of 23/24th May we both raced for GB's Olympic Development Programme in two separate Junior Women’s events in the heart of Belgium. Our first race was a 70kms event around the Sint-Antonius-Zoersel circuit. Competing against an international field of American, Dutch and Belgium riders our team set about attacking the main bunch throughout this tough and technically demanding circuit. Read more ...
Sarah Reynolds finished 4th, the highest-placed junior, and Ella Sadler-Andrews 8th in the Ladies Team Series Road Race at Melbourne, Derbyshire this weekend.
| In hot and sticky conditions, John Sherriffs survived 6 laps of the challenging Bashall Eaves circuit on Sunday to finish in a magnificent 5th place in the Regional B race of the North West Regional Road Race Championships. His points promote him to 3rd category status. In the National B race, Steve Abbot (right) was a great 15th and Andy Coupe 25th. | ![]() Courtesy BC/Andy Whitehouse www.amwphotography.co.uk |

Sorry for the lack of updates recently, but the team has been doing fantastically well, with great results all round, especially at Preston Arena and Salt Ayre.
Congratulations in particular to Chris Sherriffs for recently gaining his 2nd cat licence.
