Four men braved truly awful conditions to what can only be described as survive the race, it was split up with groups huddled together. The elites race was split by attacks from all, including Lewis, Jack and Daff. In the end our finishing order was Lewis 4th, then Daff, then Jack. In the other race Martin was 7th survivor!
A windy day on the circuit this evening, a field of approx 60 starters, with the race split by catergory. The race was hard, with the turn split the field up. Jack was riding strongly in the Elites race, this his
time at the circuit. The 3/4 race was proving hard for Martin, but he was in the mix until the last couple of laps, and hung on for 13th, just outside the points. Jack was the first of the 'peleton' as 5 riders had formed a break meaning Jack came in an excellent 6th.
Lewis, Martin and Luke contested the latest
in the Tameside Crit events. As per usual the race was pacey from the off, with Lewis attacking in the E/1/2 race, and Luke in the 3/4s. Lewis kept making moves but knowone wanted to work, and a natural thinning of the field led to a small group sprinting at the end with Lewis 2nd. In the other race Luke and Martin came in the top 15 we think, but unfortunately it was a bit disjointed.
Chris, Luke and Martin attended the second crit at Tameside, on another sunny evening, Martin was hoping for a split race, which it was but the E/1/2 behind, so a catch was due sometime! Also a certain Ben Swift turned up for a leg stretch! The 3/4 race was a fast start, but Martin, and Especially Luke were up in the moves early on. The Elites caught after approx 35mins, and the race got significantly quicker! Read more ...
Daff, Martin, Luke and Steve made the trip down to the seafront crits, for a race by the sea! The racing was on a closed circuit, and had most catergories catered for. The main event featured our team, but unfortunately Daff came down on a sharp corner, almost collecting Martin. Steve and Luke kept up the fight, with Martin waiting for Daff, who unfortunately had broke a cleat, and eventually retired. The race split and Steve was right in the action, and Luke was in the next group. Read more ...
The new circuit at Tameside held its first race last night, with Chris, Luke, Lewis and Martin making the trip. The race was originally planned as two seperate races, but was set of as a handicap. Martin was a little worried about this as it meant the possibility of racing with all the E/1/2 cats! as well as Juniors and Youth A riders. The 3/4/J race was very quick from the gun, with Luke right at the front, the race split early and Martin had to bridge across to stay in. The E/1/2 race was also fast, with Chris in a early move, only to suffer a crash just after. Read more ...

Early start to get up to Lazonby for the 6th CDNW Race, we had a number of riders in each event. The 3/4 race started quite slow, so Martin and Gareth ventured to the front to stirrup things. This meant the pace was high, and the breaks started with Jack, Chid and James involved. The winning move went, and the break started to gain time. Grant and Gareth sat tight incase it came back. On the last lap it split up slightly and James moved away, Jack bridged across, using quite a bit to get on. The result was a great first and third for the team, with James now a 2nd Cat. Andy Coupe again displayed his new-found talent for time-trialling, with an awesome 2nd place in the Lakeland Land Rover Coniston Grand Prix today. He completed the very hilly 20 mile course in just over 50 minutes. As a testing newcomer, Andy easily won the trophy for the fastest rider on handicap, but under the 'one-rider one-prize' rule his 2nd overall took precedence. However, this was good news for the team, as it meant that Andy McCann took the first on handicap prize, with his 56 minute ride. Martin also completed the challenging course under the hour mark.
