Teamwallis-CHH can confirm that one of its riders, Andy McCann, was today injured in a road traffic accident. The exact details of the incident are not yet known, but we can confirm that it occurred on the A6 near Forton just south of Lancaster. We are happy to say that Andy’s injuries are not life threatening, but that he has suffered a double fracture of his right leg and a broken hip. Read more ...
A strong team wallis_CHH team helped Julian Pearson strengthen his lead in the Salt Ayre Criterium series on Tuesday evening. Calum Nicholson, Steve Abbott, Andy McCann and Neville Pearson were all on hand to control and attacking race.
Julian, who now has a firm grip on the league, was quick to thank his team mates for their efforts and recognised that it was a team effort. “It was great to win again on Salt Ayre and strengthen my overall lead,” Said Pearson before adding; “but I owe it to my team-mates who rode so well to get me in place for the sprint.” Read more ...
A slightly damp evening was the setting for a eventful nights racing at Preston. The groups were set off, very close together, resulting in the people trying to bridge. The race was fast and nervous from the off, and on lap four, and switch of a youth rider caused Tim Lawson to hit the floor, and lots of riders to hit him. This resulted in a mass pile up, and at least three broken frames, Eldon's bike having a broken rear mech and levers. Read more ...

With a dissertation deadline looming for many of the seniors and the Isle of Man Tour for the juniors, it was left to Eldon and chid to represent the team at Preston Sports Arena. Fortunately, both made it into the top ten.
Eldon was blocked in the final sprint and had to relinquish (we are sure temporarily) his lead in the series, but still claimed fourth spot. Read more ...

The long trek up to Cockermouth on Sunday was rather a disappointment for Martin and chid in the 3/4 support race.
After having another car drop debris into the path of his car on the way there, Martin was twice taken out by other riders in the actual race. Once, when someone ran wide and forced him onto the grass, then later when a dropped bottle on the most dangerous corner of the course caused a crash. Read more ...
