In hot and sticky conditions, John Sherriffs survived 6 laps of the challenging Bashall Eaves circuit on Sunday to finish in a magnificent 5th place in the Regional B race of the North West Regional Road Race Championships. His points promote him to 3rd category status. In the National B race, Steve Abbot (right) was a great 15th and Andy Coupe 25th.

Some other riders, including both our juniors, unfortunately suffered in the heat - only about half of the fields finished in each race. Michael Horne crashed early on, but we are pleased to report that he has no serious injuries. New signing Gareth Longbottom finished the Regional B race, along with Andy McCann, but unfortunately both out of the points. Some good team riding again, including Oli and Andy keeping the pace high for spells in the Regional B race.
